Our Story
VISHAL OPTICAL Legacy is a trusted name in vision care, proudly serving the people of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar since 1990.
Our journey began when Vilas Narayan Basatwar established the first BASATWAR OPTICAL store in Aurangpura, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar with a vision to provide quality eyewear, reliable eye care, and honest service to the community. Built on trust, professionalism, and customer satisfaction, the store quickly became a preferred destination for families seeking expert optical solutions.
In 2003, we expanded by opening our second branch with new Name at Nirala Bazar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar known as VISHAL OPTICAL. This marked the beginning of our second generation, with Vivek Vilas Basatwar carrying forward the family's commitment to excellence while introducing modern eyewear collections, advanced optical solutions, and an enhanced customer experience.
Continuing our journey of growth, we proudly expanded our third branch Known as VISHAL OPTICAL in 2025 at Beed Bypass, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, in partnership with Nilesh Kaduba Tarte. This expansion reflects our dedication to making quality eye care more accessible to people across the city.
For more than three decades, VISHAL OPTICAL Legacy has offered a carefully curated range of prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and premium optical products. Giving back to the community has always been one of our core values. Over the years, we have organized numerous Free Eye Check-up Camps across Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, helping thousands of local residents’ access essential vision screening and eye care services. Vivek Vilas Basatwar
Owner, Vishal Optical | Tapadiya City Centre, Nirala Bazar
Vivek Vilas Basatwar is the next-generation vision behind Vishal Optical, carrying forward a legacy of trust, expertise, and personalized eye-care service in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Vivek joined Vishal Optical in 1999 at its original location in Nirala Bazar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). With extensive experience in the optical industry and a strong understanding of customers’ vision and eyewear needs, he has played an important role in growing Vishal Optical into a well-known and trusted name in the city.
A B.Sc. in Optometry graduate, Vivek combines professional optometric knowledge with years of practical experience in the optical field. Over the years, he has personally served and guided thousands of customers, helping them find the right eyewear with a focus on comfort, quality, style, and individual vision requirements.
With a vision to expand the services and reach of Vishal Optical, Vivek took the next step in 2025 by opening a second store at Devigiri Plaza, opposite Hiwale Patil Lawns, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Today, Vivek continues to build on the values that have made Vishal Optical a trusted name—expertise, quality products, personalized service, and customer satisfaction—while bringing a modern approach to eyewear and eye care for the next generation.

With extensive professional experience in the Merchant Navy, he brings a strong combination of discipline, leadership, professionalism, and customer-focused service to the optical business.
His years of experience in the Merchant Navy have helped him develop a high level of responsibility, adaptability, and commitment to quality. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of optical products, customer needs, and the importance of providing the right guidance to every customer.
His experience has shaped Vishal Optical into a business built on trust, personal attention, quality, and long-standing relationships. Rather than simply selling eyewear, he has always focused on understanding customers and helping them make choices that suit their vision, comfort, and lifestyle.

Dr. Priya Badhe Darade is a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 8 years of experience in providing comprehensive eye care, with a special interest in Retina. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered treatment using the latest advances in ophthalmology.
Dr. Priya completed her MBBS from the prestigious Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She further pursued her Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery (DOMS), Fellowship in General Ophthalmology (FGO), and Fellowship in Medical Retina (FMR) from H.V. Desai Eye Hospital, Pune, a renowned center for advanced eye care and ophthalmology training.
With extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye disorders, Dr. Priya specializes in the management of retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders, and comprehensive eye examinations. She is also skilled in the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, refractive errors, and other common eye conditions.
Known for her warm approach and attention to detail, Dr. Priya believes in educating patients about their eye health and providing personalized treatment plans to achieve the best possible visual outcomes. Her commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and compassionate care has earned the trust of patients across all age groups.
